My Ups and Downs with Ansible
Submitted by Rahul Bajaj (@rabajaj) on Friday, 23 February 2018
Ansible is software that automates software provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment. Ansible is a radically simple IT automation platform that makes your applications and systems easier to deploy. Avoid writing scripts or custom code to deploy and update your applications— automate in a language that approaches plain English, using SSH, with no agents to install on remote systems.
1)The talk will be divided into 3 phases, wherein the first phase will be as a student, then as an
individual contributor and then as an employee of Red Hat.
2)Then we will see how Ansible can be easily implemented in a DevOps environment.
3)Lastly, will discuss the pros and cons of Ansible over other config-management tools
like puppet and chef.
I am an Associate Software Engineer at Red Hat. I am an open source enthusiast and upstream contributor. I contribute mostly to the Foreman project. I am also the organizer of Foreman Pune Meetups. While I am not hacking around, I like to play Table Tennis and Chess.
